Overview:

Direct One is seeking skilled Bindery / Cutter Operator with at least 1 year of experience to join our team! As a Bindery/Cutter Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various bindery equipment to produce high-quality printed materials. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Operate bindery equipment, including programmable guillotine cutters and high-speed, air-feed folders, at the direction of the Production Manager.
• Read, understand, and follow USPS Postal paperwork.
• Properly bundle, tray, and palletize outbound mail.
• Have a high energy, positive, friendly, team-oriented personality.
• Possess an eye for detail as the last line of quality control in the production process.
• Display a mechanical aptitude as it relates to setting up, calibrating, troubleshooting, and performing minor maintenance tasks on lettershop equipment.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment

Experience and Qualifications:

• Understand that exceeding client expectations is of paramount importance.
• Must have 1 year of experience with a Cutter or Bindery (Required)
• Be comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Be willing to be a team player in a family atmosphere.
• Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Be able to keep the workspace safe, tidy, and well-organized.
• Have adequate and reliable transportation.
• Be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs. without any restrictions.
• Have a high school or GED equivalent.
• Be able to pass a background check and drug test.
• Be authorized to work in the US
