We are seeking a motivated and experienced Salesperson and Estimator to join our team on a commission-only contract basis.
Position Overview:
As a Sales person & Estimator, you will play a crucial role in generating new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and ensuring the success of excavation projects. Your primary responsibility will be to drive sales by identifying and closing new excavation contracts while also providing accurate project estimates to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Business Development:
- Identify potential clients and actively pursue new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, developers, and property owners.
- Conduct site visits to assess project needs and present Dirt Rock Dallas services to clients.
- Negotiate and close contracts for excavation and related services.
- Estimating & Project Management:
- Evaluate project scopes, review plans, and calculate accurate cost estimates.
- Prepare and present detailed proposals, including timelines, costs, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure projects align with estimates and client expectations.
- Oversee projects as needed to maintain client satisfaction and quality standards.
- Market Analysis & Reporting:
- Stay updated on market trends and competitor activity in the Dallas area.
- Provide regular updates on sales activities and forecast potential opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the construction, excavation, or related industry.
- Strong knowledge of excavation, site preparation, or grading services.
- Demonstrated ability to generate leads, close deals, and manage client relationships.
- Experience with project estimating, including reading blueprints and calculating costs.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented with the ability to work independently.
Compensation:
This is a commission-only contract position for now, but will grow into a permanent and lucrative position. Compensation will be based on a percentage of each successfully closed contract, offering unlimited earning potential.
