MMI Tank & Industrial Services is a dynamic and growing custom steel tank and industrial equipment manufacturer delivering high quality engineered and fabricated steel products to a wide variety of industries. We are currently growing at a rapid pace and are looking to add experienced and qualified welders/fabricators to our production team.

This position requires an experienced, energetic, detail-focused individual that wants to be part of a growing team. The ideal candidate will have a background in welding FCAW and GMAW methods. This position will require you to work as part of a large team and individually on smaller projects as required. All candidates will be required to pass a comprehensive weld test prior to employment.

Duties/Minimum Qualifications

• Interpret shop fabrication drawings
• Perform high quality and consistent GMAW and FCAW daily
• Experience working with standard metalworking equipment including saws, punches, grinders, drills, and welding equipment
• Performs standard shop math (add, subtract, multiply, and divide)
• Read a tape measure proficiently
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance
• Work as part of a team and have a good attitude
• 40 hour work weeks with work on Saturdays when required
• Reliable transportation for punctual attendance
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

Desired Qualifications

• 5 years of metal fabrication experience welding in FCAW, GMAW, GTAW, and SMAW
• Proficient with bandsaws, ironworkers, oxy/fuel torches, plasma torches
• Detail-oriented self-starter
• Experience operating a forklift
• Prior certification in AWS D1.1 and/or ASME in any combination of 2G, 3G, 4G, or 6G positions in FCAW
• Pipe welding experience, 2-20' in SCH10, SCH40, XS, and XXS wall thickness
• Sub-Arc weld operator a plus
• Tank welding experience a plus
