One of the world’s largest producers of engineered lifting solutions, is looking to add a Shop Technician to their growing team of Professionals.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Operates and inspects cranes in order to diagnose defects
• Demonstrates working knowledge of CANBUS, PAT, EKS, ECOS & MEGA-TRACK system
• Examines parts for damage or excessive wear using micrometers and gauges
• Reads, understands and interprets operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints and technical drawings
• Tests mechanical, electronic, electrical and hydraulic products and equipment after repair or modification to ensure proper operation and compliance with OEM specifications
• Prepares for jobs by checking parts and drawings for accuracy and completeness
• Perform thorough and accurate annual inspections
• Maintain conformity to safety requirements and other regulations
• Properly fills out working reports, hour’s reports, time sheets, hour’s overviews and expense reports
• Good customer service and communication skills

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of two (2-3) years of experience as a Mechanic/Technician required. (Vocational training may be considered in lieu of experience)
• Must be able to read schematics (both hydraulic and electrical) required
• Experience in preventative maintenance (oil changes) and light equipment repair (break jobs) required
• Light troubleshooting of electrical and hydraulic systems required
• Must have mechanical background and related experience with electrical and hydraulics
• Must have a clean background and demonstrate safe work habits
• Basic set of hand tools required

• ONLY FOR THE FIELD SERVICE TECH POSITION - Must be able to travel 50% of the time to job sites (3-5 nights overnight per month), and for training as required.
• Experience working with different forms of mobile crane equipment, specifically Grove RT & TMS Cranes; Grove GMK European Cranes; Manitowoc EPIC and/or Traditional Cranes; National Boom Trucks preferred.
