This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: Silo Ridge Field Club, set in Amenia, New York.

Silo Ridge Filed Club is seeking a Bartender to join the F&B Department. This is anticipated to be a Seasonal Full Time position from April 2024 – November 2024.

Key Responsibilities

• With approval from the F&B Manager, create and excecute specialty craft cocktails.
• Collaborate with the garden department for use of organic in season ingredients for specialty craft cocktails.
• Ensure daily opening and closing responsibilities are completed accurately and consistent with the departments SOP. Primarily responsible for closing shift, opening as requested.
• Monitor expiration of perishable items.
• Record all orders accurately in the POS.
• Awareness of local beverages.
• Knowledge of food and beverage pairings.
• Thorough understanding of all items on the menu and daily specials.
• Daily stocking and re-stocking of all restaurant items as needed throughout the day.
• Conduct inventory of all restaurant items as requested.
• Work with F&B Manager to assist with ordering process.
• Keep the appearance of the restaurant consistent throughout the day.
• Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant throughout the day with light housekeeping tasks such as sweeping, cleaning counters and tables, and garbage disposal.
• Verify all beverage transfers are recorded accurately on the beverage transfer sheets.
• Report any maintenance and/or safety issues promptly to the F&B Manager.
• Maintain all equipment and be sure it is properly handled and maintained.
• Promptly respond to all member/guests requests.
• Attend department meetings and trainings as necessary.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• At least (1) year of beverage experience in a hotel, resort, or luxury club preferred
• Serv-Safe certification desired

• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
• Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
