This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: Silo Ridge Field Club, set in Amenia, New York.

Silo Ridge Filed Club is seeking a Server Assistant to join the F&B Department. This is anticipated to be a Seasonal Full Time position from April 2024 – November 2024.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivery of food items to the guest table and provide explanation of items to guest.
• Prior to delivery of food and drink, ensure all orders are complete and accurate according to individual specifications.
• Thorough understanding of all items on the menu and daily specials.
• Ensure daily opening and closing responsibilities are completed accurately and consistent with the departments SOP.
• All tables should be set per the departments SOP and ready for guests at all times.
• Keep the appearance of the restaurant consistent throughout the day with a focus on cleanliness of the expediting area and service/coffee station.
• Daily stocking and re-stocking of all restaurant items as needed throughout the day.
• Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant throughout the day with light housekeeping tasks such as sweeping, cleaning counters and tables, and garbage disposal.
• Report any maintenance and/or safety issues promptly to the Restaurant Manager.
• Maintain all equipment and be sure it is properly handled and maintained.
• Be familiar with restaurant policies, procedures, training, safety, and security.
• Promptly respond to all guest/member requests.
• Conduct inventory of all restaurant items as requested.
• Attend department trainings and meetings as necessary.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least (1) year of front of house experience in a hotel, resort, or luxury club preferred
• Serv-Safe certification desired

Additional Requirements

• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
• Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
