RF Engineering Manager by DISH Wireless, LLC in Las Vegas, NV.

Build, develop, and manage the Radio Network team in their local market. Responsible for working with the local development team to optimize and implement initial design using established RF planning standards and guidelines so that the market is built to a competitive standard. Plan and build a cloud-native 5G network. Hire, develop and lead a highly skilled technical workforce (team of employees and consultants) who will take the initial design for the market from the National team and optimize the design in light of conditions in the market: Radio network planning, optimizing coverage to achieve an excellent product; Local knowledge, RF propagation, and technical analysis; 5G network integration and optimization; Leads a team that works complex tasks including: complete Market design - from project preparation through model tuning, ACP runs and site selections; Work closely with local teams Site Acquisition, Zoning, Construction, Transport and Program Management to develop, build and optimize Dish Wireless network; and Continually coordinate and consult with National RF Planning team.

Requires: Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Applications, or a closely related field plus 5 years of RF engineering experience. Also requires 2 years of work experience with/using the following (which may have been gained concurrently):

Cellular and Mobile Technology proficiency in 3G, 4G, and 5G-NR;
Network design concepts and techniques;
Drive test equipment, processes, and interpreting results;
Work with propagation tools, build network plans, interpret results;
RF skills: Planet, X-Cal, Tems, Nemo, Atoll, Windcatcher, RFDS, and RF Antenna Theory;
3GPP standards;
Wireless network functions (Antennas, RU, Baseband Units, Control Units and EMS Systems).

Rate of pay: $140,000.00
