Job Title: Project Cost Controls Specialist

Location: Apex, NC

Department: Project Management

Reports To: Director of Operations

Job Summary:

As a Project Cost Controls Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health of construction projects for food and beverage facilities. You will be responsible for monitoring and managing all costs related to our projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed within the stipulated budget.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement effective cost control strategies and plans for food and beverage facility construction projects.

- Monitor and analyze project expenses, identifying variances between actual and budgeted costs.

- Prepare detailed cost reports and forecasts, providing regular updates to project managers and stakeholders.

- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement specialists to ensure cost efficiency and effectiveness throughout the project lifecycle.

- Review contractual obligations and ensure compliance with financial clauses and requirements.

- Implement cost tracking mechanisms for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.

- Evaluate change requests and their financial impact on the project, making recommendations to the project management team.

- Assist in the preparation of bid proposals, ensuring they meet project budget guidelines.

- Conduct risk analysis to predict potential budget overruns and suggest preventive solutions.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost control or project management in construction, specifically within the food and beverage industry.

- Strong understanding of construction processes, contract management, and financial acumen.

- Proficiency with cost management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6, CostX).

- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines.

Working Conditions:

- Office environment with regular onsite visits required.

- Standard working hours with occasional overtime to meet project deadlines.
