We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Operations Manager to join the MacRostie Winery hospitality team! Reporting to the Hospitality and Events Manager (HEM), this key team member of the Estate House team is responsible for directly supporting the HEM with tasting room (TR) management. This role also serves as lead TR MOD 3-4 days/week and takes a leadership role in all back of the house programs including scheduling, inventory management, ordering, payroll, systems management and SOP management, as well as serves as guest services liaison. This role is based in Healdsburg, CA and is a full-time exempt position, working Wed. - Sun., 9a-6p plus occasional evening shifts to support events. The incumbent qualifies for our outstanding health care benefits, PTO, 401k plan, wine allowance and more!

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3 years of hospitality or operations experience
• Tasting room, wine club or restaurant management preferred
• High school graduate. College degree preferred but not required
• Experience with back office systems and operations management
• Strong technical aptitude in MS Office Suite, Payroll, and winery, restaurant, or retail POS systems
• Knowledge and passion for wine industry with understanding of world class service and hospitality standards
• Strong communication skills for presenting, delegation and collaboration

Must be able to provide U.S. Work Authorization without current or future sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist in all aspects of TR management
• Lead MOD 3-4 days/week
• Mastery of POS, reservation, CRM systems and TR SOP’s
• Key TR liaison with the Guest Services team, ensuring TR team is aware of all current order and club management protocols are understood and followed
• Assist HEM with hiring, pre/post shift meetings
• Assist AHM sales tools, collateral, safety, promotions reporting
• Role model exemplary hospitality and customer service
• Manage relationships with all systems and back of the office vendors (or KS team) as pertaining to day to day TR activities
• Participate in 10-15 external consumer tasting events throughout Sonoma and the Bay Area annually
• Help plan and manage all wine club member onsite events
• Help plan and manage all general public onsite events
• Actively participate in the DV People processes and ensure 100% complete within agreed time frames
• Champion safety with all team members
• Understand and add value to our achievement based culture
• Contribute to team culture and engagement plan
