As a member of an integrated team, the Business Process Analyst/Consultant also participates in the operation of DSI’s Level 1 Help Desk. Overall, this position is responsible for proactively and collaboratively working with DSI project managers, teams and other DSI organizational groups in a tactical capacity, evaluating internal and external client requirements and implementing effective solutions in a timely manner.

Job Requirements:

• Engage with customers and end users to understand the business problem and the business needs.
• Understand the big picture, collaborate with cross-functional teams and functional business experts, translate, and document business needs into business requirements.
• Analyze business and user needs, document user requirements, and translate into accurate specifications.
• Participate in end user interviews to understand the "as is" process flows.
• Gather, understand, and define business requirements.
• Develop the "to be" process flows and develop user stories and to support the design and configuration of a minimal viable solution.
• Participate in key meetings with clients including requirement sessions, solution demos, user acceptance testing, and end user training.
• Assist and support solution configuration, business process logic implementation and business process verification/testing.
• Develop the skills required to maintain, enhance, and test client configurations; by gaining a full understanding of team procedures and toolsets, and through the successful completion of staff training exercises and individual assignments (tasks).
• Achieve proficiency in all major DSI products, including the AAMS software suite: through internal staffing training, self-guided tutorials, and daily exposure to individual product feature sets.
• Analysts will obtain competency in Level 1 customer support functions and internal helpdesk procedures through call monitoring and participate in helpdesk activities/functions. Other duties as assigned.
• Consultants will conduct customer presentations explaining the business benefits of DSI’s configurable process automation solutions including new and proposed features.

Required Experience:

• Academic or working knowledge of private or public procurement including Sourcing, Category Management, Negotiation, Legal/Contractual, Supplier Relationship Management, Cost and Price Management, Financial Analysis, Supply Chain Strategy, Sales and Operations Planning, Quality Management, Logistics and Material Management
• Fundamental understanding of the best practices, processes, and methodologies of public procurement and government contracting, procurement, distribution, process improvement, logistics, and supply chain management.
• Ability to work and effectively collaborate in a team-oriented environment for a matrixed organization.
• Knowledge of productivity tools such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to listen and relate with the customer.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong team player that is willing to help other team members at all times.

Desired, but not Required Experience:

• Prior business process analyst experience as it relates to customer business processes.
• Undergraduate degree in Government Contracting, Operations and Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Systems Engineering or related areas.
• Academic or working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Supply Chain Management business applications.
• Industry certifications from the Institute of Supply Management (ISM) such as CPSM, CPSD or APSN; National Contract Management Association (NCMA) such as CPCM, CFCM, CCCM, or CCMA, Project Management Institute (PMI) such as PMP or CAPM; Scrum Alliance such as CSM.
• Academic or working knowledge of the federal acquisition/procurement lifecycle processes.
• Academic or working knowledge of Federal financial systems or commercial accounting.
• Proven ability to communicate technical details to a non-technical audience.
• Academic knowledge or working knowledge of Agile and SCRUM processes and methodologies.
• Fundamental understanding of the Federal Acquisition process in conjunction with the NCMA Contract Management Standard (CMS).
