What are the responsibilities and job description for the Programmer Analyst II position at District Council 37?
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
Under supervision, with considerable latitude for independent action, performs work of more than ordinary difficulty and complexity in the development of programs for use in the operation of a computer system, performs related work.
EXAMPLES OF TYPICAL TASKS
- Is responsible for the completion of sets of instructions and procedures for specific programs.
- Writes flow charts, block diagrams, codes, and test/debugs various programs.
- Determines revisions and corrections to be made during program test runs and debugging, insures clean compile of assembly or program and error free execution.
- Assists analyst in preparation of systems specifications. Codes from detailed specifications. May be required to program in a language at compiler or assembler level. All work must be accomplished within documented installation standards.
- May instruct and assist programmer trainees as required.
- May be assigned to an alternate work schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 1 year coding experience or its equivalent.
- Knowledge of Visual Studio.NET, VB.NET, ASP.NET, XML, SQL Server, T-SQL, Stored Procedures
