Czinger's halo vehicle, the 21C hypercar, has received global attention for its record-breaking performance and the revolutionary design and manufacturing technology it embodies. It is the physical representation of over 550 patents filed across A.I. based generative design, materials, additive manufacturing, and assembly. Summary: This role involves overseeing material management processes, conducting thorough quality inspections, and collaborating with the supplier to maintain and enhance product quality standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in material management and quality control, particularly with composite parts and finishing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Material Management:
1.Inventory Management:
•Oversee the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials.
•Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure materials are properly labeled and stored.
•Conduct regular inventory audits to verify stock levels and identify discrepancies.
2.Supplier Coordination:
•Collaborate with the supplier to ensure timely delivery of materials.
•Monitor supplier performance and provide feedback to improve material quality and delivery schedules.
•Resolve any issues related to material shortages, delays, or quality concerns.
3.Procurement Support:
•Ensure all materials meet the required specifications and standards.
4.Logistics
•Manage part logistics from Raw Material Supplier-CZV-Outsource Vendor and back from Outsource Vendor-CZV.
Quality Control:
1.Inspection and Testing:
•Conduct inspections of composite parts and materials to ensure they meet quality standards.
•Document inspection, audit results and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
2.Quality Assurance:
•Implement and monitor defined quality control procedures and standards.
•Train supplier staff on quality assurance processes and best practices.
•Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
3.Non-Conformance Management:
•Identify and document non-conformances in materials or finished products.
•Investigate root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions.
•Collaborate with the supplier to prevent recurrence of quality problems.
Reporting and Documentation:
1.Data Analysis:
•Analyze quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
•Prepare reports on material and product quality, and present findings to management.
2.Record Keeping:
•Maintain detailed records of inspections, audit results, and quality issues.
•Ensure all documentation complies with requirements and internal policies.
3.Communication:
•Liaise with internal teams, including engineering, procurement, and supply chain, to align quality objectives.
•Provide regular updates to management on material and quality control activities.
Continuous Improvement:
1.Process Improvement:
•Identify opportunities for improving material management and quality control processes.
•Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
2.Training and Development:
•Stay updated on industry best practices and new technologies in composite materials, surface finishing and quality control.
•Provide training and support to supplier staff to build their capabilities in quality management.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Engineering, or a related field.
•Minimum of 5 years of experience in material management and quality control, preferably involving composite materials and finishing.
•Proficiency in quality control methodologies and tools, such as Six Sigma, ISO standards, and statistical process control.
•Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
•Proficiency in using inventory management and quality control software.
•Experience with Automotive paint systems is desirable.
•Project Management Certification would be a plus.
•Quality Engineering, Automotive Paint, Logistics Management & Materials Management experience.
Work Environment:
•This position is primarily based at a third-party supplier site and may require occasional travel to other locations.
•The role involves working in a manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to machinery and materials.
Physical Requirements:
•Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
•Capability to perform inspections and audits that may require standing, bending, and using hands for extended periods.
$78,000 - $112,625 a year
