IntePros is excited to partner with a Fortune 200 Investment Banking and Financial Company in helping them identify a Data Analyst for a critical engagement in Pittsburgh, PA. This role is hybrid 3 days a week on site.
Responsibilities:
- Data Collaboration: Partner with source system data owners to understand and document data requirements, including scope, limitations, attribute definitions, and linkages to other datasets.
- Data Management: Utilize strong data management and metadata analysis skills to maintain data integrity.
- Data Analysis: Analyze, query, and manipulate data according to business rules and procedures.
- Error Resolution: Perform root cause analysis for data errors, interpret findings, and identify remediation steps.
- Reporting: Prepare ad-hoc reports as requested by managers or other leaders.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy and quality of your work, conducting thorough research on queries before submitting responses.
- Deadline Management: Work effectively under stringent deadlines, managing pressure and adapting to a changing work environment.
- Data Quality: Implement and measure data quality controls, determine the business impact of data quality issues, and recommend long-term solutions.
Qualifications:
- Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to understand compliance policies and process tasks according to procedures.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organization, documentation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting is preferred, but candidates from other fields are welcome, as extensive training will be provided.
- Experience: Banking, product/financial services, auditing, or compliance experience is preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of structuring data environments and big data processes is a plus.
- Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Excel and experience with issue management systems.
- Data Modeling: Familiarity with logical data models.
