We're seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative to join our growing team! In this role, you'll drive growth by building impactful relationships and securing high-value partnerships with exhibitors and sponsors in the geospatial industry. Primarily, this is an outbound sales role and responsible for implementing strategies to qualify and solicit prospective exhibitors and attract new digital and ancillary sponsors. The Sales Representative must also be able to communicate the terms of the sales contract and secure exhibitor/sponsor fees as needed. In addition to superior client customer services, the Sales Representative must track account transactions in Salesforce. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize workloads, while keeping abreast of current market trends and industry news. Active collaboration with the entire team is also essential.

Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities:

• Meet and/or exceed sales goals through sales of exhibit space, digital advertising, and ancillary/sponsorships.
• Provide consistent follow up and superior customer service by maintaining strong business relationships with customers.
• Keep abreast of current market and sales trends and identify and qualify new prospects to support product growth.
• Track sales for exhibit space, digital advertising, sponsorships, account changes and data entry into CRM.
• Actively collaborate with the rest of the sales team as well as marketing and editorial departments and central teams.
• Capture and communicate customer needs to the rest of the team as appropriate.
• Attend competitive and industry events.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 2 years of related work experience in a sales or marketing role. Previous exhibit, digital sales, and/or digital marketing experience is preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the sales life cycle, including prospecting and qualifying leads, building and managing relationships, employing strategic selling and closing strategies, articulating value propositions, and utilizing marketing tools is preferred.
• Strong listening, written and oral communications skills are required.
• Competency in the use of customer sales management systems, business-related applications and software (Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc.) is preferred. Knowledge of marketing tools are a plus.
• Strong organizational abilities and time management.
• Ability to set and achieve goals and stay self-motivated.

Work Environment: Diversified Communications offers the flexibility to work remotely and enjoy a hybrid schedule, working in the office 2 days per week. While this position reports into our office located in Portland, Maine, we are open to considering fully remote applicants. Travel is required in this role.
