PRIMARYRESPONSIBILITIES

Will be required to handle test stands setup perform andmonitor testing activities.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Testingproducts in the Reliability Test Lab to test requirements specifiedby Product and Reliability Engineering.

2. Takingdirection from the Reliability Test Manager Lab Supervisor and TestEngineers on safe working procedures use of equipment recording oftest data and monitoring of results.

3. Performing alltests as directed by the Reliability Test Manager Lab Supervisorand Test Engineers. Providing accurate and timely documentedresults.

Communicating test results to appropriate engineeringpersonnel.

4. Performing teardown destructive testing ortest to failure activities as part of the product developmentprocess.

5. Verifying and validating proposed and / orimplemented changes to existing products. Performing specifiedtests of competitive products as part of the new productdevelopment process.

6. Participating with productfailure analysis collaboratively with project engineers includingthe suggestion of product design improvements based on observationand test results.

7. Setting up a variety of electricalmechanical and / or electronic equipment to include environmentalchambers Life Test equipment Product Specific test equipmentMechanical gauges and Electrical / Electronic meters.

8.Designing and documenting testing configurations and setup.Creating test reports that document test results.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Technicalknowledge must be based on at least 6 years of testing lab orrelated experience

2. Understanding of electromechanicalsystems and ability to recognize mechanical electrical or systemabnormalities

3. Handson instrumentation and dataacquisition experience.

4. Proficient in Microsoft WordExcel and Outlook and have verbal writing and organizational skillsto maintain all records and provide data to project engineersmanagers and support problem resolution

5. Backgroundwith measurement test equipment

6. Working knowledge ofpneumatics

7. Ability to read and interpret engineeringdrawings and schematics

8. Working knowledge ofmechanical gauging and instruments to include micrometers calipersforce gages dial indicators and hardness testers isnecessary

9. Experience testing to verify compliancewith environmental requirements (shock vibration thermal humidityelectromagnetic etc.) is a plus

10. Knowledge of PLCLadder Logic and Microcontrollers is a plus

11. Must beable to lift 50 lbs.

Education& Experience

High School diploma orequivalent AA Degree is strongly preferred

12 yrs ofmechanical or electrical experience is strongly preferred orengineering grads with some intern experience
