Divine Savior Holy Angels High School is Hiring a Chief Financial Officer (Full-time, Year-round) Near Milwaukee, WI

The CFO assumes responsibility for the development, implementation, coordination and evaluation of the financial, technology, facilities, and food service functions of Divine Savior Holy Angels (DSHA) High School. The CFO participates on the Senior Team and Strategic Council; develops, evaluates and recommends organizational policies and strategic initiatives; and develops best practices and process improvements. The CFO has total direct management of three employees: indirect
management of fourteen employees. This is a full-time, year-round position.

  • Establishes and oversees implementation of policies and procedures for sound fiscal management of Divine Savior Holy Angels (DSHA) High School.
  • Creates the institution’s annual operating and capital budgets to include developing the process for budget creation and analysis of requests and new proposals.
  • Oversees the operation of the school’s facilities to include safety and security policies and the annual and long-term maintenance needs.
  • Supervises the Director of Technology, ensuring the security, maintenance and support of DSHA technology infrastructure and implementation of Strategic Technology Plan.
  • Supervises the implementation of food service operations and oversees the contractual agreement with the external vendor.
  • Oversees implementation of DSHA’s investment policy as established by the Board of Directors. Serves as primary liaison to the Board’s Investment Sub-Committee.
  • Works closely with VP – HR on financial analysis related to salaries, benefits, and other HR items.
  • Participates on the Senior Team and Strategic Council. Develops, evaluates and recommends organizational policies and strategic initiatives. Develops best practices and process improvements.
  • Manages and coaches employees to ensure work is completed and standards are maintained.
  • Manages personnel, to include work allocation, training, and problem resolution, evaluating performance and making recommendations for personnel actions according to the employee handbook and in collaboration with the Senior team.
  • Participates on Board Finance and Buildings & Grounds Committees.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education and/or Experience: Position requires a master’s degree in business, accounting, finance, management, non-profit administration or a similar field, OR a bachelor’s degree with a CPA designation. Ten years of progressively responsible administrative experience, preferably in a non-profit entity, is required.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Effective oral, written and presentation skills are essential for success in the position. Incumbent will work with diverse groups and will need to communicate effectively with all. Incumbent must be highly organized, detail oriented and able to work on multiple projects within specific timeframes with varying deadlines. Proficient computer skills with experience using MS Office software, financial software, the Internet and email are required. Must be able to handle confidential financial information and develop spreadsheets, reports and financial analysis as requested. An understanding of GAAP, tax codes and related legislation is required. Familiarity with payroll laws and regulations is required. Incumbent must be able to develop budgets and document variances. Employee development and performance management skills are essential. Incumbent must be able to track information for presentation to senior management. Must support the mission and vision of DSHA. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; talk or hear; and use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects or controls. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focusWork Environment: The work takes place in primarily an office/school environment; however, there is some travel and limited exposure to outside elements.
