Our Nurses are an integral component of our dedicated and compassionate team of nursing and hospice professionals.

Divinity Hospice is presently seeking an on-call/runner LVN to join our growing Hospice care team. Not seeking triage on call. Only being available for visits as needed.

Full PAID Training Provided

LVNs provide home based clinical care, hospice services and end of life philosophy to patients and families. Providing patients and families with dignity, compassion, and comfort at a pivotal time in their lives.

Qualifications:

• CA LVN license current and up to date
• Hospice Experience (1 year)

Compensation: $500 per week for being on call( available for visits) AND $50 per visit pay.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Hospice LVN provides direct patient care as defined in State Nurse Practice Act.
• Implements current nursing practice following a comprehensive assessment and the plan of care.
• Provide accurate and timely documentation of patient services to reflect the plan of care.
• Licensed Vocational Nurses assess and provide patient and family/caregiver education and information pertinent to diagnosis and self plan of care.
• Participates in coordination of hospice services, appropriately reporting the identified needs to the interdisciplinary group.
• Uses equipment and supplies effectively and efficiently.
• Provides appropriate pain/symptom management. Evaluates patient’s response to treatments/medications.
• Licensed Vocational Nurse participate in personal, professional growth and development. Also participates in quality assessment performance improvement teams and activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the registered nurse.
• On call nursing afterhours.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, reliable transportation and willingness to drive to patient locations.
