Job Summary:
The DMG Product & Engineering organization is building a tight-knit, high-performing group of problem solvers to help DMG and our customers digitally transform facilities services maintenance. We are seeking an exceptional Staff Technical Program Manager, to consult, plan & manage business critical and top priority programs across the P&E Organization.
You will use your expertise to influence product teams that design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and deliver software. You will plan programs, identify & mitigate risks, manage delivery schedules, and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will need to bring a data driven approach combined with a deep technical skill set to both influence and elevate the P&E technical program management methodologies & best practices. Broadly, this will require knowledge of software engineering, product engineering, and program management fundamentals and tooling.
What You’ll Do:
· Be proficient in working with product engineering teams and leadership to design, scope, and shepherd feature execution.
· Use data to drive technical decision making and prioritization of initiatives.
· Excel at defining the vision for and delivering large business-impacting projects with multiple constraints.
· Build simple, well-designed programs that consider the architecture and systems of domain without accruing additional complexity over time.
· Own planning for long-term, multi-phase programs accounting for all aspects of development, release, and maintenance.
· Understand cross-functional dependencies deeply and can effectively communicate about them to stakeholders.
· Make tough calls to reprioritize or recommend ending or course-correcting projects as new information is available.
· Execute large programs at a very high level, e.g. to a standard of quality well exceeding that of the current system, a tight deadline with significant consequences of failure, or in a manner that allows rapid learning to drive out significant ambiguity (though not all simultaneously).
· Invest time to coach and mentor teammates; particularly individuals looking to grow into a senior TPM role.
What You Need:
· Equivalent experience including 10 years of technical program management or a BS or MS in a scientific or engineering discipline.
· Experience managing or have deep understanding of an organization’s Incident Management Process.
· Able to demonstrate a high level of depth in a particular technology or product domain.
· Proven experience developing new project management methodologies to deliver business value and drive significant change across an organization.
· Proven set of technical skills and development methodologies, and apply them with a sophisticated approach that is best suited for each project.
· Deep knowledge of technical architectural design, systems, technical supporting tools, and methods to implement.
· Act independently and expeditiously to align teams cross functionally on critical projects.
· Exhibits a very high standard of technical judgement, innovation and execution to tackle open-ended problems that require difficult prioritization, defining both the “what” and “how” of items to be delivered.
· Experience hiring technical candidates and building out TPM teams.
· Preferred proficiency with industry accepted source code repository management tooling, observability and monitoring management tooling, project planning tooling, and roadmap planning tooling.
· Required - One of the following: AWS, Google, or Azure cloud administrator certifications.
· Required - One of the following: PMP, Advanced CSM or CPO certifications.
· Ability to manage the stress of a fast-paced environment.
· Ability to meet the in-person requirements of the team and/or business needs.
