Dixie Oral Maxillofacial & Implant Surgery is looking to add an outgoing, friendly and focused person to our patient care team as a Surgical Assistant. This is a full time position. The primary duties of this position are:

· Assisting our doctors with the complete range of oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures offered in office, at Dixie Regional Medical Center, or in one of the local surgical centers

· Prepare patients for treatment per DOMIS Procedures, including performing required patient imaging

· Help patients recover from general anesthesia or procedures that require recovery

· Perform post-operative patient care and educate patients on necessary home care

· Perform instrument sterilization and infection control in the office

· Prepare surgical instruments for surgery procedures

· Maintain all OSHA/HIPAA requirements as well as achieve the anesthesia assistant certification, DAANCE (Dental Anesthesia Assistant National Certification Exam) through the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons

· Clean and sanitize all operatories and exam rooms following patient procedures and keep them well organized

· Ensure individual operatories and exam rooms remain properly stocked following patient care

· Listen to and attend to our patients as they move through the steps of their procedures—from consultation, surgery, to follow up.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
