Full-Time Housekeeper / Family Assistant

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Housekeeper/Family Assistant to join a private family based in Seattle. This pivotal role requires a highly organized, resourceful, and personable individual who can seamlessly manage a diverse series of responsibilities, including but not limited to: housekeeping, home organizing, laundry, meal prep and some cooking, plant care, indoor and outdoor cleaning projects, and occasional support with the family’s children or pets such as emergency care or driving in a pinch. Reports to:

• Household Manager

General Duties:

Housekeeping

• Full scope housekeeping with regular daily tidying and organizing
• Utilize daily, weekly, and monthly checklists

Laundry

• Complete family and household laundry
• Iron, press, steam items as needed
• Experience working with fine clothing and hand washing delicate items required
• Send out/pick up dry cleaning

Food Management

• Inventory management of groceries for multiple properties
• Rotate/stock pantry, snack drawers, and refrigerators
• Meal prep/light cooking for family meals

General Household

• Indoor and outdoor plant care–fertilizing, dusting, pest care, deadheading planter flowers
• Bird/pet feeding, applying pest repellent outside (includes cleaning and maintaining feeders)
• Maintain inventory for household supplies, communicating proactively with Household Manager for ordering
• Assist Household Manager on home projects as needed

Schedule:

• 40 hours/week, schedule will be flexible at times but generally 9am-5pm

Travel:

• Must be willing to travel to Belfair with family to vacation home to complete similar duties to those done at primary home (4-6 weeks/year)–accommodations provided

Compensation:

• Salary range: $65k - $80k commensurate with experience

Additional Requirements:

• 5 years experience in a similar role
• Background check
• Valid driver's license and motor vehicle insurance, with a clean driving record
• Must be willing to sign a standard Non-Disclosure Agreement prior to employment

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
