We are actively recruiting a Senior Internal Auditor (IT) with SOX experience in the financial services industry to join our Chicago-based team.

DLA has always had a very flexible hybrid work model where time will be split between Chicago client sites and work-from-home.

• Assist with the development of project scope of internal audit or consulting assignment
• Develop documentation of existing internal controls and internal processes
• Review and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls in a variety of business areas
• Develop solutions to strengthen controls, improve profitability and aid management decision-making capability
• Assist in oral and written presentations to management during and at the conclusion of the examination, discussing deficiencies and recommending corrective actions to improve operations and reduce cost

Knowledge & Skills:

• BS or BA in Technology, Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional services setting to include operational and technology auditing at the Senior Auditor level. Would prefer “Big 4” experience
• Experience in real estate, hedge funds, private equity, insurance or other financial services auditing strongly preferred
• Strong process and analytical skills
• SOX experience
• Internal Audit experience
• Knowledge of System Design Life Cycles (SDLC)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong computer proficiency
• Consulting experience a plus
• CISA, CRISC, CISM a plus
• Working knowledge of SOX/COSO Integrated Internal Control Framework preferred
