DLP Services is Hiring an Administrative Assistant/HR Generalist Near Pharr, TX

DLP Services is currently accepting applications for the position of:

  • POSITION TITLE: ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
  • Location: PHARR, TX.
  • FLSA: non-Exempt.
  • Hire Pay: $15.00 per hour.
  • Classification: Full-time.

JOB SUMMARY:

  • Provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; be able to organize their work using tools, like MS, and Excel.
  • Provide general support to Operations Director.
  • Ensures the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of the department.
  • Prior computer use experience, receives and distributes mail, answering phone calls.
  • Must be detail-oriented.
  • Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Must have good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Must have strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creates performance and monthly reports as needed.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to foster and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors and other team members.
  • Defines reporting and alerting requirements.
  • Develops and implements targeted surveys for the purpose of gathering market information.
  • Analyzes workflows and makes recommendations for streamlining or improving processes.
  • Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:

  • Receives supervision from the Operations Director.
  • The position has no formal assigned supervisory responsibility or authority.
  • Must complete jobs without constant supervision.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • The principal duties of this position are performed in an office environment.
  • Works standing and sitting for prolonged periods of time while working on a daily basis.
  • Sits, stoops, crawls, climbs, lifts, bends, kneels, pulls and pushes while performing job duties.
  • Lifts equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.

ALCOHOL AND DRUG TESTING POLICY:
This position is subject to the DLP Services LLC, Drug-Free Workplace Policy which includes: Post-Accident Testing, Random Testing, and/or Reasonable Suspicion Testing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent education is required.
  • 2 years of administrative assistant experience.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Must be bilingual.
  • Must have valid Driver License.
  • Human Resources experience. (preferred)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Effective interpersonal/communication skills.
  • Ability to understand written and verbal communications.
  • Knowledge of appropriate software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
  • Able to operate electronic devices for clocking in/out procedures.
  • Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Ability to lift, push/pull and manipulate heavy objects up to 30 pounds.

  • Valid Drivers’ License Class C.
