DLS Engineering is Hiring a Senior Acquisition Specialist Near Silver Spring, MD
Looking for a Senior Acquisition Analyst to join our team for a full-time position in the National Capital Region to support the Defense Health Agency.
A Day in the Life:
- Assist in drafting and developing Statements of Work (SOW), Statements of Objectives, Performance Work Statements and Performance-Based SOWs
- Communicate/Interact with Contracting Officer Representatives (COR) on a daily basis, and having knowledge of COR functions
- Monitor and process Procurement Requests
- Support the development of acquisition strategies and plans
- Assist developing Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs)
- Assist in preparing and drafting Market Research documentation
- Track contract expenditures and assist with Contract Closeout
- Assist in the preparation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Administrative Policies in acquisition support.
- Participate in reporting and analysis activities in support of project management and quarterly Review and Analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and minimum of 10 years of experience or 14 years of experience in lieu of degree
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated success as a highly organized self-starter, with attention to detail, multitasking various priorities under deadline, and experience in a team environment.
- Demonstrated willingness to undertake new projects and ability to learn new systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Must be able to pass a government background check
- Must be a US Citizen
