Job Description

DMC is seeking a highly motivated individual that works well in a team and has experience with data management and sales support in a fast-paced environment. This individual will be responsible for supporting and facilitating sales process functions and associated workflow for processing account submissions, managing the sales visit planning process, facilitating compilation of sales meeting notes, creating and maintaining detailed content in DMC’s Customer Relationship Management system (CRM), and acting as a general resource for needs of the Sales department.

The individual will be results-driven, forward-thinking, and have a strong attention to detail. The individual will possess strong interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills, and some experience working in a sales environment. A background in insurance, transportation insurance, or within the transportation field would be helpful, but not necessary if other employment experience is translatable.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assisting in processing account submissions and facilitating submission flow.
  • Managing the workflow for timely submission processing.
  • Creating and updating content within DMC's CRM system.
  • Supporting the sales team in building and managing the sales pipeline, including tracking activities through various stages.
  • Aiding in sales visit planning for brokers, insureds, and potential customers, which involves understanding the sales pipeline to plan visits effectively and preparing scheduling reports.
  • Producing and distributing recurring sales visit scheduling reports and monitoring the sales visit calendar.
  • Following up with Sales Reps to ensure visits are scheduled and recorded in CRM per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) metrics.
  • Assisting with the workflow required for organizing sales visits, both in and out of the office.
  • Facilitating the compilation of sales visit meeting notes by preparing meeting note templates, supporting the Sales team with timely completion, and managing data entry and distribution of meeting notes.
  • Adhering to SOP metrics for the timeliness of tasks, completion, and file upload paths.
  • Monitoring tasks, archiving documents, and preparing and distributing department reports as requested by the Sales Operations Manager.
  • Maintaining high performance according to established SOP metrics, including those identified in the Weekly Sales Status Report, regular reports, functions, and responsiveness to project requests.

REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Sales mentality – Experience with engaging with external and internal customers in a collaborative way.

· Experience with insurance or consultative selling. Knowledge of the transportation insurance industry is a plus.

· Accurate data entry skills and strong attention to detail.

· Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong business acumen.

· Ability to engage cross functionally across teams and businesses.

· Solid working knowledge of the Microsoft Word and Excel and an aptitude to learn new programs.

· Must be a self-starter with the ability to manage time in a fast-paced environment, prioritize critical tasks, communicate with management on status, and deliver on objectives in a timely fashion.

· Ability to work effectively both in office and from remote locations.
