Controls EngineerFull-Time PermanentRemote plus 20% Domestic TravelDo you want to reduce pollution and change the way the country fuels its vehicles?DMC Recruitment Group is on the hunt for a Controls Engineer with a degree in Automation Engineering to join the team of our groundbreaking North American renewable energy Client.
As part of the Engineering Team, you will assist Field Commissioning & Service Technicians with any troubleshooting and start-up of applied programming.
Create PLC/HMI code to control electro-mechanical systems using I/O lists, control descriptions, electrical schematics, and drawings.
Develop UL, technical documentation, instrumentation, electrical, and controls systems and products to satisfy contracts, customer specifications and new business development requirements.
Participate in equipment test including Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), installation, assembly, and set-up activities to ensure systems and components are conforming to engineering standards and specifications.
Work with purchasing department and support with equipment, electrical components, software, and services.
Provide field support with ongoing maintenance, startup, troubleshooting and equipment maintenance.
Design and Develop Siemens, Horner and/or Allen Bradley PLC program standards.
Bachelor’s Degree in Automation Engineering or related field
6 to 9 years of relevant experience and/or training
Or equivalent combination of education and experience
6 years of PLC and HMI programming and design for industrial equipment for machine control, design and development of software and electrical systems
SCADA and Communication protocol experience a must have – Modbus, Profinet, MQTT, etc.
Read, analyze, and interpret periodicals, journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Strong mathematical skills and concepts, strong reasoning ability and extremely strong communication skills.
Knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD software.
