US Assistant Social Media Editor

Main Responsibilities

• Develop and package the Daily Mail content for social distribution.
• Assist with the daily maintenance of all the official Daily Mail accounts to engage with readers and drive traffic.
• Monitor daily social media analytics to gauge success of social media efforts and initiatives.
• Assist with coordination of and social interaction during live events such as award shows.
• Monitor the competitive landscape, identify traffic-driving trends in social media and news consumption.

Person Specification

• Experience managing social media platforms for a digital media publication.
• Demonstrated ability to use social media to distribute content and engage with audience.
• Experience with social flow
• A clear understanding of the voice of the content
• Ability to gather and analyse social media data and analytics.
• In-depth knowledge of Facebook and how it can be leveraged to promote publisher content.
• Experience with online monitoring and social media measurement platforms, especially Facebook Insights
• Proficiency in Adobe Premier Pro is desirable.
