DNI is Hiring a Junior Due Diligence Specialist Near Arlington, VA

The Office of Global Partnerships (GP) is seeking a set of dynamic professionals to provide administrative support to the office. GP is the U.S. government leader in private sector engagement. GP’s mission is to conduct private sector engagement and build and institutionalize public-private partnerships that advance the Department of State’s foreign policy goals. GP is the entry point for collaboration between the U.S. Department of State, the public and private sectors, and civil society. External private sector organizations include, but are not limited to the following for-profit businesses, trade associations, private philanthropy, foundations, academic institutions, faith-based groups, and other non-governmental organizations.
  • Plan, coordinate, and carry out the successive steps in fact-finding and analysis of issues necessary to complete due diligence related tasks and projects.
  • Prepare narrative reports containing a statement of the issue or problem, background, observations, options for change, and recommendations for action based on analysis of observations, review of program related documentation, research of precedent studies, and application of standard guidelines.
  • Monitor and track due diligence requests and answer routine questions about due diligence from other Department stakeholders.
  • Assist in GP-led trainings and consultations by providing an overview of the due diligence process.
  • Conduct event planning, program implementation, social media outreach and other various activities as assigned.
  • Carry out special projects and other duties as required.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience in an office environment, preferably within the U.S. government.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; must be able to work well with senior officials, staff, and interns.
  • Strong organizations skills, a customer service orientation and excellent execution and follow through skills.
  • Knowledge and experience applying qualitative and quantitative techniques for analyzing and measuring the effectiveness of programs.
  • Experience using various databases and applications and online tools to analyze relevant and required information for due diligence reports.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines.
  • Knowledge of pertinent laws, regulations, policies, and procedures related to due diligence, conflict of interest, and public-private partnerships.
  • A bachelor’s degree plus at least one year of related work experience OR a master’s degree.
