Job Summary:

Dogtopia, the industry leader in dog daycare and wellness services, is looking for an energetic, organized, business-minded individual to lead our team as a store General Manager.

The General Manager (GM) is the leader and an integral member of the Dogtopia management team. This is a role for someone with a Leadership, Sales, Marketing, and Operations background who understands hard work, how to deliver and train others to provide top customer service and ensure a great environment for the dogs in our care, while delivering on business results. Our ideal General Manager is an enthusiastic dog lover, a brand ambassador with a vested interest in the community.

Salary Range: From $45,800.00

Key Responsibilities and requirements:

• Possesses a commitment to personal development and an interest in learning about business operations, developing people, and driving revenue.
• Must be able to influence the direction of your location, initiate community outreach through marketing and special events, and drive superb customer satisfaction metrics.
• Maintains an exceptional level of customer service by developing a strong front-of-house team, while leading and creating a wellness culture based on Servant Leadership, high-quality dog daycare, and exceptional customer service for our dog parents. As well as a professional and efficient back-of-house operation.
• Responds to directives in an accurate and timely manner and ensures the same compliance of the entire team to the Dogtopia standards.
• Maintains excellent customer service metrics such as Google Reviews and Dog retention metrics.
• Ensures site always has adequate shift coverage, while adhering to scheduling and labor guidelines
• Oversees the recruiting, hiring, and training practices to ensure quality of the Dogtopia team.
• Motivates and mentors team members on providing the best dog parent experience through all stages of their journey to establish trust, create deliver, and evaluate their experience.
• Educate and engage the community and customers on all of the companies’ products and services, as well as the Dogtopia Foundation and the noble cause of purpose beyond profit.
• Maintain controllable expenses within budgetary constraints including forecasting, tracking and ordering supplies, optimizing payroll, and actively looking for ways to maximize efficiency.
• Work with our dogs’ parents to determine parenting plans for their pups.
• Assign, track, and participate fully in the learning and development paths of our internal online training system.
• Other duties, as assigned.

Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:

• Ability to maintain professionalism, order, and grace in an exceptionally fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Meticulous organization, attention to detail, and time management skills
• Proficiency in recruiting and training staff.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment. Must have a minimum of two years of experience managing at least 10-20 team members.
• Flexibility with days and hours to support the needs of the business.

Physical Job Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
• Must be able to stand, stoop, squat frequently
• Position requires standing and walking throughout shift
• Work environment could be noisy at times
