The Marketing department creates passion and relevance for the "Dolby Difference" driving sell-in and sell-thru of Dolby enabled devices, services, content, and experiences across multiple constituents – partners, creators, consumers, and developers.

SUMMARY

Music Creative Relations intern will provide support to Dolby’s Music Partnerships team with regard to Dolby Atmos music, and providing support for the music and creative industry to enable Dolby Atmos music creation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary responsibility will be in support of Dolby’s Music Partnerships team. This may include research for editorial use in Music Podcasts and Community webinars, coordinating and providing resources to creatives and music labels, coordinating webinar administration and social posts, asset repository management, equipment preparation and shipping, data gathering and reporting.

Evening onsite music event support, as needed.

Prepare time logs and reports of work performed as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Some background in and a willingness to learn about the music industry and the recording industry processes.

Ideal candidate has a passion for music, podcasts, and creative advocacy who keeps their finger on the pulse of new music and artists.

A working knowledge with programs such as Smartsheet, Microsoft Excel, and cloud-based file storage and sharing programs such as Box or Aspera.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Good interpersonal and communication skills to represent Dolby in a professional manner and interface at all levels both internally and externally.

Ability to think and act strategically with good problem solving and analytical skills.

Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Have the ability to prioritize work, and to work to deadlines.

Eligibility

Working towards a master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; recent grads who are within 6 months of graduation are also eligible to apply. Must be available to work full-time Monday–Friday for 3 months starting from May/June 2023.

Start date for the internship is as follows: (*note* this date is not flexible)

The San Francisco/Bay Area base hourly range for this internship position is $29-40/hr and can vary if outside of this location. Our hourly ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific hourly range and perks and benefits for your location during the hiring process.
