Job Summary: Dominion Ridge Academy is seeking a committed and passionate Christian teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in an educational field, a dedication to continuous education, and relevant experience in mentoring, guiding, and leading children in middle and high school.

As a Dominion Ridge Academy teacher, you will be responsible for providing spiritual and academic leadership, administrative duties, and additional responsibilities as assigned. You will motivate students to accept God’s gift of salvation, lead them to a realization of their self-worth in Christ, and ensure that the classroom work environment is Christian-based, nurturing, wholesome, and loving. You will also have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the Christian philosophy of education and integrate biblical principles and the Christian worldview throughout the curriculum and activities.

The ideal candidate must be passionate about teaching and helping students grow academically, emotionally, and spiritually. You will be responsible for teaching classes as assigned, following the prescribed scope and sequence as scheduled by the administration, and planning a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students. You will also employ a variety of instructional aids, methods, and materials that will provide for creative teaching to reach the whole child—spiritual, mental, physical, social, and emotional.

In addition to the essential job functions, you will be required to perform administrative duties such as keeping proper discipline in the classroom, meeting regularly with other staff members to ensure coordination of programs and prompt problem resolution, and maintaining regular and accurate records of attendance and grades.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in an educational field
• Commitment to continued education through various means including professional development made available by Dominion Ridge Academy.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid
• Certification in CPS’ Recognizing, Responding and Reporting Child Abuse or Neglect for Educators
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, both in person and virtually.
• Passionate about teaching and helping students grow academically, emotionally, and spiritually.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Christian philosophy of education.
• Ability to integrate biblical principles and the Christian worldview throughout the curriculum and activities.
• Ability to plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
