Job Summary:
Don Hinds Ford Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized individual to join our team as an Accounts Receivable Specialist. This is a full-time position in the Accounting & Finance department of our auto dealership located in Fishers, Indiana. As an individual contributor, the Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing and monitoring incoming payments from customers, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate records related to accounts receivable.

Responsibilities:
- Process incoming payments from customers using various payment methods (cash, checks, credit cards, etc.)
- Reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies or issues with customers' payments
- Follow up on any outstanding or delinquent accounts to ensure timely payment
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all accounts receivable transactions
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve any billing or payment discrepancies
- Prepare and distribute monthly aging reports and assist with month-end closing processes
- Work with customers to set up and maintain payment plans when necessary
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to accounts receivable
- Stay updated on industry changes and trends related to accounts receivable processes
- Other duties as assigned by the Accounting & Finance Manager
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience in accounts receivable or related field in the automotive industry
- Strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes and procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze and reconcile data accurately
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
