Don Moyer Boys & Girls Club is Hiring a Teen Services Coordinator Near Champaign, IL
The Teen Services Coordinator ("TSC") is responsible for the management and supervision of the day-to-day operations at DMBGC’s Teen Program site(s), assuring high-quality programs, services, and support are delivered to Club members aged 11-17. This position supports the Director of Teen Services in the development of high-yield programming for youth, positive member and family relations and engagement, and supervision to part-time staff, interns, and volunteers to provide a safe and secure environment to members. This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position with excellent benefits.
Leadership and Supervision
Support Teen Services Director and Chief Teen Officer to establish site programs, activities and services that support Club mission and vision
Ensure a healthy and safe environment, ensuring facilities, equipment and supplies are maintained.
Provide guidance to staff in classroom and behavior management
Support Elementary Services Director and program staff in the development and implementation of programming and activities that are developmentally appropriate for Club members
Responsible for reviewing appropriate school schedules and calendars and monitoring early out days, no school days, inclement weather days, etc., and creating an aligned programming calendar under the direction of the Teen Services Director
Program Quality and Safety
Create, review, and monitor the implementation of daily and weekly program action plans and provides guidance and feedback to staff
Actively engage in programming and services to advise Teen Services Director of training needs
Provide site and classroom supervision to ensure safe environments and well-maintained facilities, equipment, and supplies
Data and Compliance
Work with Data & Quality Manager to ensure daily service reports reflect accurate program attendance and monitor outcomes
Serve as lead in report card data collection process (working with member families, schools, and teachers) and support relationships with area schools and educational partners
Support, implement, or lead staff training initiatives relating to program quality and data collection
Administrative and Communications
Create staff schedules and monitor attendance
Process staff time off requests as requested by the Teen Services Director
Conduct volunteer orientation by providing comprehensive introduction to Club services and volunteer responsibilities; works with Human Resources department to conduct volunteer background and reference checks and onboard new volunteers
Support the development of marketing materials to represent a positive Club image
Conduct outreach events and attend external meetings or events as appropriate to market Club activities and create relationships
Additional Responsibilities
May be required to operate Club vehicle
May be required to work evenings or weekends to support special events and programming
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in related field (elementary education, psychology, child or human development, social work), or four years’ experience with a youth development organization
Two or more years direct staff supervision or management of a team of 10
Previous experience with a youth development organization (direct programming preferred)
Ability to work flexible schedule based upon program/organizational needs.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) highly desirable
Group leadership skills
Valid Driver’s License and be approved by the Club's auto insurance provider
