Role: Sr. Security Analyst Location: New York, New York Duration: 4 Months DescriptionThe Security Analyst will directly support the New York State Department of Financial Services (DFS) Information Security Program, responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information and safeguarding information technology resources at DFS. Duties
Updates and maintains Information Security policies, standards, procedures, and other related documents
Performs and documents information security risk assessments
Identifies and supports business information security requirements
Deploys and monitors a wide range of technical security controls
Drafts and disseminates Information Security operational metrics and management reports
Mandatory Requirements
Plans and carries out security measures to protect an organization’s computer networks and systems.

84 months of experience updating and maintaining Information Security policies, standards, procedures, and other related documents
84 months of experience performing and documenting information security risk assessments
84 months of experience identifying and supporting business information security requirements
84 months of experience deploying and monitoring a wide range of technical security controls
84 months of experience drafting and disseminating Information Security operational metrics and management reports
84 months of experience with NIST Cybersecurity Framework, Center for Internet Security Controls, NIST Risk Management Framework, NYDFS Part 500, Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council Cybersecurity Assessment Tool, Financial Services Sector Coordinating Council Financial Sector Cybersecurity Profile, and other relevant industry frameworks and guidance
A bachelor’s degree in information security, computer science, or a related technical area
