Middle School Learning Specialist for 2023-2024

Donna Klein Jewish Academy, an independent non-profit school for children grades Kindergarten through grade 12, is a Jewish community day school serving families from a broad spectrum of Jewish backgrounds and religious practices. Donna Klein Jewish Academy seeks an experienced Middle School Learning Specialist for the 2023-2024 school year.

The ideal candidate should have experience working with students with learning differences on the middle school level. The Learning Specialist will support students with different learning styles by providing curriculum support, intervention and remediation, implement each student's Individual Student Plan (ISP) in cooperation with the classroom teachers, test preparation, adjust or modify curricular approaches/tests as needed, and document student progress and achievement.

The Learning Specialist should be able to support students across various subjects and be comfortable with technology and its use in the classroom setting.

As an important member of our faculty, the Learning Specialist will collaborate with parents, teachers and students while serving as the primary support for students with whom he/she works.

Candidates should hold an undergraduate degree in Special Education K-12 or related degree. Master’s degree preferred. Must be able to provide transcripts.
