About The TeamNew Verticals is an exciting team at DoorDash that is building and scaling new ways to delight our customers, leveraging the DoorDash platform. New Verticals include the DashMart, Convenience, Alcohol, Grocery, and Retail businesses. These categories bring about new challenges and opportunities to build something at DoorDash from the ground up.
About The RoleThe New Verticals Logistics team’s goal is to drive cost and efficiency savings, as well as quality improvements through New Verticals (specifically the Convenience, Grocery, Alcohol, Retail, and DashMart verticals across the US, Canada and Australia) to empower operational leverage and growth. Together, we're building the world's most efficient and reliable same-day logistics platform to fulfill our vision of empowering all local businesses. The projects we work on are diverse and have the potential to impact each side of our marketplace - from Dashers, to Consumers, to Merchants. In this role, you will focus on ensuring New Verticals enables every Dasher to achieve their financial goals, while driving initiatives to improve the efficiency of the New Verticals business.

CompensationThe successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.
In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

- Build. You’ll have your fingerprints all over DoorDash’s next big business. You’ll do whatever it takes to launch, get 1% better every day, and scale something completely new. This means everything from high-level strategy to nitty-gritty operational details.
- Strategize. From first principles, you’ll develop the optimal strategy for best serving our customers.
- Experiment. You’ll transform strategies into operational experiments that create measurable and actionable outcomes.
- Analyze. You’ll assess the operational and financial impacts of your decisions, and iterate quickly based on data.
- Collaborate. You’ll work with a cross-functional team, including marketing, finance, legal, support, design, product, data science, engineering, and operations to build this new line of business for DoorDash.
- You are a self-starter – You have a bias towards action and are able to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment
- You work well cross-functionally – You have experience managing multiple different stakeholders and business partners, and are able to exert influence across organizations to achieve business outcomes
- You are a problem solver – You can independently translate high-level goals into actionable plans
- You are gritty – You roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to make things successful
- You are analytical – You let data win arguments, and you’re comfortable pulling your own data in SQL and modeling in Excel.
- You are relentless and hungry to learn – You do what it takes to win, no matter what.
- You have 1-3 years of experience - preferably in strategy & operations, consulting, investment banking, tech, etc.
- You have a completed Bachelor’s Degree.
