As Senior Director, Product Partnerships - you will lead the strategic direction and business development work to accelerate the growth and innovation of DoorDash’s Marketplace and Platform (Drive, Storefront, Catapult) businesses.About The TeamThe Product Partnerships team accelerates the growth and innovation of DoorDash’s Marketplace and Platform (Drive, Storefront, Catapult) businesses by sourcing and building new technology partnerships. This team works directly with senior leadership across DoorDash to assess the competitive landscape and make strategic decisions about building, buying, or partnering as we decide how to bring the best suite of services to our merchants
About The RoleWe seek a highly entrepreneurial and strategic individual who enjoys rolling their sleeves and building. You will lead B2B partnerships that enhance DoorDash products and services and drive innovation in our go-to market.
You are a highly effective business development and operator capable of engaging in business-level and P&L-focused conversations with C-level executives at both start ups and publicly traded companies. You are an analytical thinker who enjoys diving into financial models and mapping out the P&L implications of potential deal structures. You can lead a complex, multi-party partnership effort in a highly consultative manner.
Finally, you enjoy building stuff; you like to experiment with new ideas and new ways of working to further develop our internal processes in ways that we may not have explored before.
You're Excited About This Opportunity Because...
  • Own all engagement with ecosystem partners, including adding new partners to DoorDash, identifying net new lines of business and managing the team operating the partnerships day-to-day
  • Lead high visibility and strategically important ecosystem partnerships and relationships
  • Strategize: You will help develop the optimal strategy and prioritization to grow our business. You will craft quarterly and annual plans that push our business forward and are aligned with our product and go to market capabilities. You will help these teams identify opportunities for enhancing our existing product offering.
  • Collaborate: You will advocate internally and externally for solutions that will help our merchants grow their businesses. In addition to working with partners in the restaurant tech ecosystem, you’ll work with a highly cross-functional internal team, including sales, account management, operations, product, marketing, analytics and finance to expand our product portfolio.
  • Manage a senior level team of deal markets and senior executive relationships
  • Operationalize the execution of your teams and partnerships to consistently deliver beyond expectations
  • Identify and build new lines of business in partnership with third parties. You will craft and build consensus on new business cases and go-to-market strategies

Qualifications
  • 15 years of business development experience, preferably a mix of startup and larger enterprise experience
  • Experience with C-level partnership negotiations
  • Ability to lead analysis-driven negotiation processes
  • Proven closing skills
  • Deep comfort with marketplaces and logistics industries
  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills, including comfort with financial models
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to operate in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment
CompensationThe location-specific base salary range for this position is listed below. Compensation in other geographies may vary.
Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. For roles that are available to be filled remotely, base salary is localized according to employee work location. Please discuss your intended work location with your recruiter for more information.

The estimated pay range for this position represents total on-target earnings (including base salary and on target incentive pay). In addition, the compensation package for this role also includes opportunities for equity grants.
