POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is hiring an Assistant Controller in our Chino CA facility. The Assistant Plant Controller will be a key contributor to the North American finance team and will partner with operations and supply chain to support our two West Coast plants for its Alvarado and FarPointe Data businesses. The Assistant Plant Controller will drive financial management processes and will be responsible for all the month end closing, budgeting and forecasting, prepare and consolidate financial statements, general ledger accounting and assist with all accounting and controlling functions across operations steering and financial closing. They will provide detailed recurring analysis of income statements and balance sheets and meaningful variance explanations.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary $100,000 to $120,000 plus Short Term Incentive (STI) (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Contribute to the annual budget and planning processes and ensure integrity of the budgeting and forecasting of cost of goods sold
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing, internal financial reporting and financial analysis
• Work with operations team to develop realistic financial plans aligned to operational goals
• Serve as a liaison with external auditors, collaborate with internal auditing and drive compliance
• Execute on internal controls, drive regular risk assessment and monitoring to support driving business decisions and ensure accounting compliance
• Provide financial support for new initiatives, productivity ideas, feasibility studies, restructuring projects (plant context) and ad hoc data requests

WHAT WE REQUIRE

• BS in Finance, Accounting, or similar analytical discipline
• 3 years of accounting or controlling experience in a standard cost manufacturing environment
• Experience in a manufacturing environment with standard-based accounting systems
• Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, hands-on experience in regular transactions of HFM and SAP (and/or similar ERP system)
• Working knowledge within Business Intelligence (BI) reporting
