Job Responsibilities
- Inspect all room equipment and furniture for signs of damage and repair or replace as needed
- Ensure that hotel rooms are kept in a sanitary condition and comply with health codes
- Perform preventive maintenance activities, such as lubricating parts, replacing filters, and cleaning equipment
- Test and troubleshoot electrical systems and components
- Repair or replace plumbing fixtures, wiring, air conditioning units, and other equipment
- Perform regular maintenance of hotel room furniture, such as cleaning upholstery and polishing wood surfaces
- Perform minor repairs on doors, walls, and ceilings
- Ensure that hotel rooms are stocked with necessary supplies, such as towels, toilet paper, and soap
- Report any major problems or damages to the hotel manager
- Follow established safety procedures when performing maintenance work
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience in hotel maintenance or a related field
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and other maintenance concepts
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair minor issues
- Excellent customer service skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Ability to work with a variety of hand and power tools
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Knowledge of applicable safety regulations and standards
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently
