Job Title : Painter

Location : South Chesterfield, VA

1st shift : 7 am - 3 pm

What we are looking for :

We are looking for a Painter that will be primarily responsible for painting parts in Paint Department. He / She is responsible for touching up parts as needed to meet quality standards, ensure enough paint is at workstation for color being painted to prevent downtime, testing and adjusting equipment prior to parts arriving at paint booth

What you will be responsible for in this role :

• Painting parts
• Promote and maintains a safe work environment.
• Test and adjust equipment prior to parts arriving at paint booth.
• Preform preventative maintenance on powder booth, spray parts, etc.
• Utilize a paint gun to paint / powder coat refrigerated display case parts on a suspended conveyor.
• Adjust line speed to correspond with parts being painted.
• Perform color changes following established procedures and time limits.
• Inspect completed parts exiting the paint booth for defects and notify lead / supervisor as required.
• Utilize a tape measure, reading to the nearest 1 / 16 ".
• Maintain work area in clean, safe and organized manner.
• Effectively interact and communicate with paint line team leaders and team members.
• Assume other activities and responsibilities from time-to-time as directed by supervision.

What are the basic qualifications?

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous experience in a manufacturing painting position or powder coating experience is preferred.
• Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes
