Director of Protective and Consulting Services

Location: New York / New Jersey

General Purpose:

Doyle Security Services, Inc. (DSS) is seeking a former law enforcement executive to provide strategic leadership and direction to our protective and consulting security services division. Candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our client’s security programs and DSS objectives as a leader in the security field.

Essential Functions:

This role will involve but not be limited to managing DSS armed personnel, overseeing executive protection details, conducting investigations, and overseeing the DSS quality assurance program. In addition, will serve as company liaison with law enforcement, security agencies, intelligence and counterterrorism organizations. Furthermore, the successful candidate will serve as the DSS DHS Safety Act Program manager. The division also will conduct risk assessments, analyzes data, develop risk mitigation strategies and report such findings in support of DSS clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Leads and manages a team of security consultants, protective service agents, and support staff. Develops and implements strategic plans to grow the Protective & Consulting Services division, while also supporting the physical security business development team of DSS. Provides direction and training while ensuring the team is certified and equipped to meet clients’ needs. Monitor and assess team performance, providing coaching and professional development opportunities.

Cultivate and maintain strong business relationships with existing and potential clients. Identifies new opportunities supporting DSS growth initiative and year over year objectives. Serves as the primary point of contact for strategic key clients, ensuring their security needs are met. Conducts presentations and represents DSS at industry events and conferences.

Works closely with the DSS executive team and collaborates with our Safety Act consultant toward achieving certification. Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures that align with DHS Safety Act requirements. Ensure DSS practices align with legal requirements, industry standards, and departmental protocols. Monitor Safety Act regulations by the Department Homeland Security and update policies to reflect any changes. Serves as DSS expert on Safety Act updating DSS clients and employees on best practices and benefits.

Leads and conducts comprehensive risk assessments and security audits for clients. Prepares detailed reports that support findings with recommendations on enhancing protection. Provides expert advice on security policies, procedures, and technology with support from DSS partners. Design and implement customized security plans for high-profile individuals, corporate executives, and facilities. Offer consulting services related to crisis management, emergency response planning, and workplace violence prevention.

Meets financial obligations DSS plans for the Protective and Consulting services division. Will have Profit and Loss responsibility. Allocate resources effectively to ensure the division operates within budget while achieving strategic objectives. Negotiate the financial portions of contracts with clients and vendors, ensuring cost-effective service delivery.

Participate in the investigation of incidents to assess and identify contributing factors. Assist in developing and implementing incident response plans and protocols. Analyze post-incident reports to improve future DSS management practices while reducing risk.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Risk Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 20 years of combined experience in law enforcement, risk management, or a related field. Experience in conducting risk assessments and developing risk management strategies is highly desirable.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP) or similar) are highly desirable.
• FBI NA Graduate is highly desirable.

Pay: $150,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
