Job Description
Education : Graduate of an Accredited College of Pharmacy with BS or Pharm D. degree in Pharmacy; Current licensure in Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of State Bureau of Occupational and Professional Affairs and successful completion of appropriate continuing education specific to job requirements
Experience : Hospital Pharmacy experience preferred
Other Skills : Good written, verbal and presentation skills are essential. Must be able to analyze and interpret complicated information to determine a course of drug therapy. Must possess basic computer skills, versatility, and time management and be self confident. Must have the ability to coordinate work with others, prioritize, and communicate openly and honestly.
- PURPOSE OF JOB :
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : (Maximum of 6)
- Responsible for accurate verification and dispensing of medications.
- Exercises applicable legal and professional controls on controlled and non-controlled substances maintained and dispensed.
- Dispenses prescriptions to applicable inpatients, outpatients, and employees.
- Effectively participates in clinical services provided by the department.
- Meets administrative and miscellaneous requirements of the department.
- Uses technology and automation appropriately to support patient care.
