This is an in-person position located in Fairbanks, Alaska.

Starting pay range: 24.26 - 29.71/hour.What you will do

  • Answers a multi-line phone system, directs calls, and greets visitors; when possible, responds independently and take/relay incoming messages and place outgoing calls as needed.
  • Provides administrative support to senior executives and managers.
  • Prepares documents using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Prepares outgoing mail and correspondence, including e-mail and faxes.
  • Arranges travel and coordinates transportation.
  • Manages conference room calendars and schedules meetings.
  • Orders and maintains supplies; arranges for equipment maintenance.
  • Mentors entry level administrative support staff when necessary.
  • Manages accurate and current calendar for management.
  • May coordinate meetings, conference calls, and travel arrangements/accommodations.
  • Composes internal and/or external correspondence.
  • Maintains and updates office records as needed.
  • Utilizes Microsoft Office Suite to prepare and edit presentations, correspondence, reports, charts, graphs, etc.
  • Compiles information for reports and presentations.
  • Answers a variety of phone calls and emails.
  • Responds to routine inquiries for information.
  • Performs other duties or projects as assigned.

Conditions of EmploymentMust pass a pre-employment drug test, random drug test thereafter in accordance with the published policy of Doyon Utilities. Must have a valid driver's license issued by the State of Alaska. Must be eligible to work on a military installation in Alaska. Eligibility to work on a military installation includes compliance with Department of Defense mandates with respect to employee background and health directives.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree Administrative Office Technology or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Required
  • 4 years of progressive advancement in a professional office or other environment where they have demonstrated the ability to work independently to complete administrative tasks with limited amount of oversight. Required
  • Operates in a highly professional manner.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Computer/MS Office skills
  • Must possess good interpersonal skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage confidential information.
  • Ability to lift/maneuver up to 40 lbs, moving furniture, moving boxes etc
  • Knowledge of office machines including fax, copier, computer workstations, telephone system, voice mail systems
  • Ability to work independently regarding daily activities.
  • Strong knowledge of office procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable to change.
