Job Description:

• Conduct a variety of general medicine, occupational, and disability health examinations on veterans and service members including reviewing medical history records and interpreting clinical data.
• Complete examination reports for patients including, at a minimum, corroborating histories, physical findings, results of all diagnostic tests performed and diagnoses completed.
• Assist examinees in completing history worksheets.
• Provide medical opinions based on a review of medical records.
• Complete all charting/reports in a timely manner (generally within 24-48 hours).
• Respond to clarification requests within 24 hours.

Requirements:

• Must be a Nurse Practitioner with a full and current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) board certification from the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency/Indiana State Board of Nursing.
• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing, either by the appropriate State agency, or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), at the time the program was completed.
• Must have a minimum of a Master’s degree, with a major in the clinical nursing specialty to which the nurse is to be assigned.

Work Schedule:

• Open to part-time or full-time providers
• Current opportunity is weekdays between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM. However, there if future opportunity to adjust these hours into the evening/weekend, if you desire a different schedule.
• Flexible schedule (schedule is set about one month in advance)

Pay Range

• Open to hiring as a part-time independent contractor or full-time employee
• $120,000 - 140,000 annual salary for full time employment
• $55 - 65 per hour for part-time, independent contractor work
• Opportunity for incentive pay bonuses if willing to work additional time.
