Overview:

As the Working Foreman you will get to lead and motivate a team of technicians in the installation, repair, and maintenance of drainage systems, septic systems, and related infrastructure. This role takes a hands-on approach, as the Working Foreman you will actively participate in fieldwork while providing guidance and supervision to the team.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of technicians in the execution of drainage and septic projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to industry standards.
• Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of drainage and septic systems
• Coordinate with clients and project managers to plan and schedule work assignments, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Provide on-the-job training and guidance to technicians, sharing expertise in drainage and septic system installation techniques, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
• Conduct site assessments and inspections to identify drainage and septic system issues, recommending solutions and estimating project costs as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including labor hours, materials used, and project progress.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards at all times.
• Operate and maintain equipment such as excavators, skid steers, and dump trucks as required.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the drainage and septic industry, with a proven track record of leadership and hands-on fieldwork.
• Strong technical knowledge of drainage and septic system installation, repair, and maintenance techniques, including familiarity with various types of pipes, fittings, and equipment.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience supervising and motivating a team of technicians to achieve project goals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members, and clients.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and specifications.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Relevant certifications and licenses required: CT Subsurface Sewage Installer
• Relevant certifications and licenses recommended: CDL A or B, P6 or P7
• Ability to read construction drawings and blueprints
• Strong knowledge and experience in the operation of heavy equipment such as excavators, skid steers, and dump trucks as required
