Responsibilities

First Equity Mortgage , a subsidiary of Drees Homes, is seeking candidates for a Secondary Market Assistant. If you enjoy customer service and the satisfaction of assisting home buyers achieve their new home dreams this may be the opportunity you have been looking for!

The Secondary Market Assistant is responsible for assisting the Secondary Market Manager in the day-to-day operations that facilitate both pricing and scale of closed loan transactions to both the GSEs and investors in the secondary market.

We are seeking individuals who are detailed, accurate, organized and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities include :

• Register loan applicants with approved investors for prior approval as needed.
• Oversee daily pricing mechanics within the loan operating system.
• Review locks received, maintain lock report for closing accuracy.
• Seek potential new investors for consideration and facilitate approval as decided.
• Extend mandatory commitments with Investors as needed by post-closing.
• Run reports, analyze data, update the hedged position.

Requirements include :

• Strong organizational and analytic skills
• Strong oral and written communication
• 2-3 years of mortgage experience, a plus
• Accounting or finance experience, a plus
• Good computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to prioritize work load
• Must be able to meet certain credit criteria for this position
