About the job:

This is a full time position based in Wilmington, NC and this role will report to the store Manager.

• We are looking for an extremely organized and highly motivated individual who is an excellent communicator and ready to take on all aspects of maintaining a customer facing food and beverage establishment, from slinging a flat white to writing reports and overseeing day to day completion of daily standard work. Our ideal candidate will be the glue that holds many of the FOH operations together. The successful Head Barista will constantly strive to meet all product, cleanliness and hospitality standards and communicate with their team the small wins along with the critical feedback to uphold our mission.

You Will:

• Work with the Training department to fully train new store baristas. Teach others about efficient workflow, the ideal espresso shot standards,how to dial in, and perfecting their latte art through the teaching of proper milk steaming.
• Enforce and maintain quality coffee standards through dialing in effectively and regularly, maintaining proper cleaning of equipment, communicating equipment issues, and following Drift guidelines and procedures.
• Keep track of the barista team and maintain monthly ratings and check-ins with the Coffee/Training Department.
• If applicable, order baked goods and coffee for your store on a routine basis, keeping up with store inventory and current pars to maximize quality and inventory.
• Lead, exemplify, and teach your team outstanding hospitality. Operate as a leader within your store upholding the Drift leader code of conduct.
• Be innovative, help create new seasonal recipes, improve current and new processes that lead to better efficiency and store standards.
• Work directly with the General Manager to ensure FOH operations are functioning efficiently and effectively.

• 3 Years of specialty coffee/barista experience
• 1 Year of food service experience
• Means of transportation
