Job Summary:
We are seeking an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing safety programs to ensure a safe work environment for all employees.
Duties:
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs and policies
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards
- Investigate accidents and incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements
- Provide training development on safety procedures and protocols
- Fabricate safety training materials and conduct training sessions
- Manage workers compensation claims and ensure compliance with workers compensation law
- Prepare and submit reports on EHS performance
- Maintain safety data sheets (SDS) and hazardous waste management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or Equivalent work
- Certified in CPR and first aid
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and standards
- Familiarity with Workers Compensation laws
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis
- Excellent report writing skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
