I am looking for a Director of Operations to help me streamline how our teams function and give me the time to work on expansion and new business as opposed to working on the day to day with my teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the factory and office, ensuring efficient and effective workflows.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational excellence.
- Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all departments.
- Leadership and Accountability:
- Hold managers accountable for meeting their goals and adhering to established metrics.
- Provide strong leadership and support to managers and employees, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Strategic Coordination:
- Coordinate with various teams, including (examples: production, logistics, finance, and human resources), to ensure cohesive and productive operations.
- Serve as a liaison between different departments to streamline processes and enhance communication.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute business strategies aligned with company goals.
- Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and provide training and support to managers and employees as needed.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Mentor and coach team members to promote professional growth and development.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize workflows and reduce costs.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to drive innovation and improvement.
- Resource Management:
- Ensure optimal utilization of resources, including (examples: personnel, equipment, and materials.)
- Develop and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Implement and monitor quality control procedures to maintain high standards of product and service quality.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to SOPs and regulatory requirements.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize operational disruptions.
- Implement and oversee health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Develop contingency plans to address emergencies and unforeseen events.
