Processes A/P checks, including mailing and distributing.
Provides account reconciliations with general ledger balances, benefits, vendor billings, tax and other deductions and contribution source data.
Researches inquiries from internal sources and vendors. Identifies and resolves issues on documents, general ledger accounts, department approvals, and sales/use tax adjustments, etc.
Reviews monthly statements from vendors to determine the company's account standing.
Holds confidential vendor invoice and payment information.
Track all AFE’s by entering each AFE invoice into computer database and making copies in a timely and accurate manner for appropriate year end reporting requirements.
Perform all accounts payable duties associated with month-end closing procedures to include vouchering all invoices, printing accrual and accounts payable trial balance reports, reconciling accrual and accounts payable trial balance reports to the general ledger inter-company account, providing a list of outstanding invoices to the Finance Leader, etc.
Assist with other accounting projects and reports; trains other staff as needed
Assists with preparing year-end 1099-MISC forms.
Complete W9 Tax Coding
Update/Maintain approval matrix with Finance Leader sign off.
Freight Tracking
Communicate to Finance Leader open freight invoices at month end
Utility tracking
Purchasing Tracker update/approval
Bookings Report
Petty Cash reconciliation
Mail sorting
Education and Experience:
Associates degree in Accounting
2 years related experience
Advanced skill in Excel and Word
SAP experience
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken
Must be able to read and interpret work documents
Must have the ability to work in teams
Must have the ability to perform basic math
Must have the ability to adapt to frequent changes
Ability to read and interpret documents such as invoices, bank deposit slips, procedure manuals, and various documents.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Requires effective communication with customers and other employees of the organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest and percentages.
Able to apply concepts of basic algebra.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Requires the ability to operate a wide variety of standard office equipment, such as a computer and keyboard, a calculator, telephone, FAX, photocopier, etc.
