Position Purpose: The Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for the cash application team and collections in conjunction with account and sales teams. They maintain positive client and internal relationships while following Accounts Receivable and Cash Receipts internal control procedures. SLWM is looking for a driven and forward-thinking candidate who will work closely with our Corporate Controller. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for continuous learning, a proactive attitude, a keen sense of ownership, strong business acumen, and outstanding interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategies to optimize cash flow and minimize delinquencies
Manage a team of AR specialists, providing guidance, training and performance evaluations to ensure departmental goals are met
Collaborate with sales, customer service, and finance teams to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency
Monitor aging reports/ DSO management and proactively follow up with customers to secure timely payments
Maintain accurate records of all transactions and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Provide credit checks and customer set up for new customers
Cash Receipts posting daily deposits from EFT, lockbox, live checks, PayApp deposits. Posted either manually or through the cash receipts gateway
Posting X money posting on-account x money after X orders bill
Credit/Rebills
Negative Delivery Tickets
Various Adhoc projects as assigned
General Qualifications Education and Experience:
At least five (5) years’ proven work experience as an Accounts Receivable Manager, Lead or similar role
Strong leadership skillsability to coordinate, direct and maintain alignment between competing priorities at both micro- and macro-levels
Strong attention to details, technicalities and ability to follow up and drive to goals
Excellent organizational and technical abilities
Good written and verbal communication skills
Good interpersonal and multi-tasking abilities
Relevant training and/or certifications as an Accounts Receivable lead or manager or similar role
Mental Requirements:
Flexibility and adaptability are key
Expert problem solving skills
Sound levels of empathy and emotional intelligence
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
Prolonged periods of sitting during computer use, up to 12 hours per day.
Close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception up to 12 hours per day, due to monitor use.
Prolonged use of hands and fingers to handle or feel required keyboard. Supervisory Responsibility (Direct & Indirect)
Incumbent may be responsible for supervising some full time, part-time and/or contracted staff.
